This is the beginning of what a beautiful friendship looks like.
As you start this journey, there may be a temptation to rush ahead.
To learn more.
To understand more.
To figure everything out as quickly as possible.
But I want to gently encourage you:
Don't skip the foundation.
Spend time here.
Get to know who God is.
Get to know who you are.
Learn how to talk with Him, not just at Him.
Sometimes we're quick to move on without spending enough time here first.
Without revisiting what matters.
Without letting it take root.
Because when these core truths are rooted in you, everything else becomes easier to understand.
Not because you figured it out on your own...
but because you're walking with God through it instead of trying to work around Him.
Don't turn your walk with God into a puzzle to figure out or a formula to follow.
Simply walk with Him.
There is more to come.
There is deeper growth.
There is transformation.
There are things He will gently ask you to release and new things He will grow in you.
But that comes in time.
For now, stay here.
Stay in the relationship.
Stay in the simplicity.
Stay in the friendship.
As this journey continues, we'll walk deeper into what it looks like to take off the old self and put on the new.
But you don't need to be there yet.
Right here is enough to begin.
Companion Thought:
Don't rush past the foundation.
The strength of your walk will always be built on how well you know Him and walk with Him.
